The manner in which all objects, text, programming and graphics on a site are placed is considered the layout by Nem5. The layout should be pleasant and give an elegant feel to the site.47. unique use of elements
All elements of the site (objects, text, programming and graphics) should be used in a unique manner that stands out as different from the "norm".48. proper use of HTML tags
HTML tags will be checked for accuracy and proper use. Excessive or improper tags should not be used.49. # clicks to find something
All main pages should be accessible within 2 clicks from the home page.50. clear site goals
The purpose of the site must be clearly defined.51. loads fast
All pages should load quickly for each Judge reviewing the site. There is no time limit, because the connection speeds of Judges range from 28.8 to DSL. Site must load quickly for all connections in the opinion of the Judge doing the review. If a page times out it will disqualify a site. (See criteria point 16.) Nem5 considers a time-out to be the point when the browser gives a message that it was unable to load a page.
