Nem5 Web Maggic Awards Program - Creativity Award
The Nem5 Web Maggic Creativity Award will be given to sites that show exceptional creative and original use of cutting edge technologies that do not require software downloads. Site should warn about older browser use if it will cause a problem. Download times or warnings for large files and pages should be noted with the link to open them.
This award is not for sites with an overall design made up of Flash programming. Sites with Flash may earn this award if other technology is used. This award will be given for XML, DHTML, JAVA, MIVA, CGI, SSI and other technologies that are used which make a site more functional and pleasant to view without requiring downloads to view them.
All use of technology must be original. Using third-party programming or scripts will not be considered original use of technology for this award. The technology should have been written specifically for the applying site.
To qualify for this award your site must receive at least 3 nominations for exceptional use of technology from L1 Judges and 78 or more combined points for the entire site. It must then undergo final judging for programming technique by career programmers on the Nem5 team.
Sites must maintain design and creative integrity to earn this award. Nem5 defines design as the overall layout and structure of your site, including placement of images. Color schemes, text, fonts, skill in HTML and other programming languages used. An excellent example of good design can be seen on this site: Dynamite Digital Designs.
