Is Flash design work? It's not a 4 letter word!To qualify for this award your site must receive at least 3 nominations for exceptional flash programming from L1 Judges and 78 or more combined points for the entire site. It must then undergo final judging for flash technique by career Flash designers on the Nem5 team using the following criteria: 1) programming must show originality; 2) programming must load quickly or have reasonable download times noted with the link to view each page; 3) your first page should begin immediately and should not have a pre-loader; 4) motion and sound must work well together; 5) visuals and sound must be clear and sharp; 6) must have more than five full pages of Shockwave/Flash design; 7) each scene, no matter the number of layers or elements, will count as one page; and 8) should state resolution if other than 800x600.
Sites must maintain design and creative integrity to earn this award. Nem5 defines design as the overall layout and structure of your site, including placement of images. Color schemes, text, fonts, skill in HTML and other programming languages used. An excellent example of good design and Flash can be seen on this site: Dynamite Digital Designs.
Original size of all *.swf files is 120x200/19k and may be sized to 90x150/19k. Winners may choose either Flash or static graphic.
